On a television show here called Eating Media Lunch they received most complaints about a scene depicting the slaughter of Shrek the sheep, followed closely by an advertisement depicting a cat getting beheaded by a car's sunroof.
No complaints were received for the airing of this video of an American Apache helicopter turning Iraqis into small pieces of meat [4.5MB, graphic] on the same show.
Michael Moore claims the same thing happened after he released his 1989 movie Roger and Me, which featured a woman clubbing a rabbit to death before skinning it. Curiously he received many complaints about that footage, but none about the black man being shot by police a few minutes later.
So why was this footage [1.1MB, graphic] never aired on television?
Is it because a white American is worth more than a sheep or a cat, but black men and Iraqis are worth less?
