It's okay to torture prisoners so long as evidence isn't leaked to the press.

Hoax. THis was put up on a satire website and picked up as a news story... Silly, but there you have it. Blogs don't help the desemination of 'verified' news either (per your example, and you are not alone at all). "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has time to get it's pants on..."
